On Friday afternoon, May 19 the 12 Oaks development was alive with the words,” “Thank you for your service” and the feeling of welcome home and our hearts are with you. You could see it on the more than one hundred faces, from the youngest to the more senior members of our community. All were on hand to welcome Master Sargent (Retired) Zac Rhyner, USAF, his wonderful wife Jillian and two children to their new home presented by Helping a Hero Organization.

Meredith Iler, Chairman Emeritus of Helping a Hero explained the mission of the organization, ‘Helping a Hero partners with veterans to design a specially adapted home tailored to their individual needs in order to facilitate a successful transition into civilian life….”  Master Sgt. (Retired) Zac Rhyner is a hero, the recipient of 3 Purple Hearts and the Air Force Cross for Valor, a true American Hero.

The highlight of the day was the presentation of the symbolic key to the Rhyner family by Chris Daniel, Chairman, Helping a Hero. To learn more about Helping a Hero (click) HelpingAHero.org
